Boise Code Camp 2011

This free-to-the-community event has become Boise’s #1 technical event. Boise Code Camp offers a full day of technology learning for the best value possible: Free!

Come spend the day improving your game, learning with others, and enjoying the company of your technical community. Code Camp offers open sessions provided by leading technology professionals from Idaho and all over the northwest! Attendees choose their own sessions to attend and even get lunch and an after-party in the bargain.

This event is created, organized, and presented by software developers and other technology leaders as a service to the Boise technical community, and provides timely content for technology practitioners of all levels and interests.

Whether your interests run toward a fundamentals session on databases, learning to create better requirements, the latest in cloud computing, agile techniques and practices, or networking issues, Boise Code Camp will have something for you. This year is bigger and better, with a new date to allow for more attendees!

Boise Code Camp is a free-to-the-community event produced and staffed by volunteers. Boise Code Camp is incorporated as a Limited Liability Corporation and relies on the support of sponsors and donations for its operating expenses.

We are governed by a volunteer board of directors and rely on the efforts of the regional developer community. The organizers, volunteers, presenters, and sponsors are dedicated to the mission of providing the highest quality content built around the topic of software development and toward creating an environment where knowledge is easily shared.

Boise State University

Boise Code Camp is proud to partner with Boise State University's College of Engineering.

A World Class land-grant research university, Boise State University is a wonderful place to get an education or do cutting-edge research. Some 20,000 plus students call BSU their home during the school year. Enjoy the beautiful campus while you’re here for Code Camp, and Go Broncos!

Code Camp Manifesto

By and For the Technology Community

Code Camps are about the software developer community at large. They are meant to be a place for developers to come and learn from their peers. Topics are always based on community interest and never determined by anyone other than the community.

Always Free

Code Camps are always free for attendees.

Community Developed Material

The success of the Code Camps is that they are based on community content. All content that is delivered is original. All presentation content must be provided completely (including code) without any restriction. If you have content you don't want to share or provide to attendees then the Code Camp is not the place for you.

No Fluff, only Code

Code Camps are about showing the code. Refer to rule #1 if you have any questions on this.

Community Ownership

The most important element of the Code Camp is always the developer community. All are welcome to attend and speak and do so without expectation of payment or any other compensation other than their participation in the community.

Never occur during work hours

We need to understand that many times people can't leave work for a day or two to attend training or even seminars. The beauty of the Code Camp is that they always occur on weekends.
